How To Have A Boss Mindset

Welcome back to our daily wisdom posts!

I'm sure by now, you've Netflix-ed, and chilled your martini glass enough to finally take a REAL look at your daily routine.

To finally realize you are not your job. You are not your kids, and you are definitely not the gym. Four ice creams later, you might even begin to realize your real daily habits, your real state of mind, and your real vibes all start at home.

From the time you wake up, until the time you go to bed, there are plenty of "spaces" for us to seize the day; it's just most of us miss those moments because we're on auto-pilot, stressed from work, (and/ or) busy scrolling online instead.

The reality is you create your life and your whole routine starts at home. Your life actually doesn't start with your kids schedule or your presentation that’s due at work, it starts with you, and what you create for yourself each day; so today is no different.

We may be stuck in the house or between the home, and our job, but that doesn't mean you can't create the best experience for yourself and/or your loved ones.

A home (for me personally) has always been where it begins.

It's where your energy begins! From the moment you wake up, to the moment you fall asleep, your home is a reflection of your VIBE.

Warm, cozy, secure, fun and designed to fit the space but most importantly, LOVING. If you're not feeling the love or the vibe, now is the perfect time to pick up on WHY, because that vibe is seriously set by YOU and only you.

So, today's daily wisdom post is all about helping you create a better morning to stay in mental, physical and spiritual shape while you appreciate your space and enjoy some much needed time to relax.

If you look for love, you will find it. If you look for flaws, you will find it.

I guess, the funniest part about the meme's on social media is we went from be over-worked and needing a yacht and champagne stat, to bored AF and consuming more than ever.

So, let's be clear: Enjoy yourself. Everyone is different, just do what makes YOU happy. Have a mini "stay-cation" but most importantly, use this time to put more love in your home, put more love into your self care routine, and add more value to your life's work and the people around you.

Below is my personal agenda. It is an actual checklist that I run through each morning, on break, and again after work.

Before you think I'm preaching, my agenda used to be "hit snooze 4 times, go to work, try not to cry, pretend to be healthy and drink wine."

Until about 3 years ago: When I woke up feeling heavier than ever with zero faith left; overweight, overworked with a serious headache, and a realization that I need to get back to my positive mindset, I needed to get my spirit back, and I needed to get my health back. I also realized if I was ever going to ACTUALLY lose the 50 pounds I kept failing to lose, I had to make REAL changes every day. So, I started with 1 change. 1 tiny change. Every day and then just snail paced it from there.

One day or day one. You decide.

One workout. One push-up. One veggie. One day of getting up at 5 am instead of 6 am. (And, yes I hated it) Trying one new class. Participating in 1 meatless meal. Reading 1 page. Writing one sentence. Saying one affirmation. Visualizing myself as a business owner and then crying as I left for work. But, it was always just 1 small effort that seemed to slowly change my day.

And, as time went on, I begin to build a routine that genuinely changed my life.

After 3 years, a new mindset, a new body (50 pounds down) a new spiritual sense of reality, a self-made business, a thriving podcast and a funny betch blog later, I'm proud to share this daily list with you; because I know if you try something on this list; one will lead to two, two will lead to five, and eventually, you'll be just as busy building a life you don't need a vacation from, just like I did.

I can honestly say, my peace is gathered mostly in the morning because the morning's really set the vibe for my creative day; but it's also in staying on my true purpose path, that has really lead me to success in my creative ventures, health, lifestyle and relationships.

I hope this daily list sets the vibe and lights your morning's on fire. I hope it gives you peace of mind after your coffee. I hope it inspires you to get creative in the afternoon and gives you a space to reflect in the evening; but, most importantly, I hope it rekindles the faith, love and light within your heart; and brings you back to what's important: which is a healthy mind, a healthy body, a healthy soul and a healthy wellness routine. Health honestly is true wealth and when you have your health, you have everything else.

Here’s some ideas to start checking off each day to create more balance in your daily routine.

Mind Body Soul | Daily Agenda | Check List

o Wake Up = Do not go on your phone for the first hour (or more if you can)

o Try to recall your dream + write it down if you can remember it; this is essential to helping you visualize your day and sharpen your memory; when you are sleeping your ego is not active so it's actually a great time to receive a message in your dreams, imagine and just be open to new possibilities! (Not to mention it keeps your brain healthy)

o Gratitude Journal : Keep a gratitude journal by your bed! In this journal: write out 3 things you're grateful for, three things that would make today great and 3 "I am" affirmations to boost your confidence; at the end of the day, write 3 things that happened that were amazing and 1 thing that would've made today better

o Say 10 affirmations everyday

o Say thank you 100 times

o Meditate - Chakra Alignment (you can find these on YouTube)

o Meditate - Affirmations (you can find these on YouTube)

o Meditate- Abundance (you can find these on YouTube)

o Plan out my day on a piece of paper or in a journal; listing my most important task to the least

o Read - 20 pages in my new book of the week

o Study - Learn one new fact about a subject you're really interested in

o Recite- 1 new quote each day on a topic you love

o Read- 1 new nutritional fact a day

o Read- 1 new yoga fact a day (or any exercise you love)

o Read - 1 new passage from (insert religion here)

o Stretch - 5 minutes a day (back bend) work on something you used to do when you were younger

o Cardio- 45 minutes of cardio (elliptical, walk or run)

o Strength - 100 workout (see "blogs" for this workout) but it's simple exercises that give you more endurance + strength

o Connect- send or give love and/or spend time with friends and family

o Give- A compliment, buy the coffee in front of you, but just give for no reason all day everyday

o Passion- Make time for your passion! I podcast - every single day! I am so passionate about podcasting so I even if I don't post it, I still practice

o Take a break to do something fun! (paint, draw, dance, sing, laugh)

o Nourish- Make sure you nourish your body everyday, start with 1 meal but check in with your nourishment levels; its about how you feel, not at all about how you look

o Inspired Action- Do one thing you feel inspired or "called" to do, even if it's silly, I love to blog, it's my "inspired action" almost every day

o Review the day and say what you were grateful for

o Self-care- do one nice relaxing thing for yourself each day

o Tea - I drink tea 2-3 times a day, start with one, you will be amazed at how much your mood improves

o Learn something new/ listen to something educational- I usually do this while I work out, but KEEP your energy, mind, body and spirit SHARP; remember everything you consume either adds value you to your life, or takes energy away from your health.

Okay, so that's my magic list!

I review this every single morning, and it honestly helps me remember what's important.

The truth is, my mindset is important, my thoughts about myself, about the world, and about the people around me are important, my health is important, my health is my only true wealth, my passions keep me alive, my "inspired actions" lead me to my soul's calling, and following my heart and true happiness is all that matters. So, doing what I love everyday is essential.
